LASIK

REFRACTIVE SURGERY

In today’s day and age, most people find glasses cosmetically unacceptable and quite a few may not tolerate contact lenses. LASIK offers an excellent permanent solution to achieve glasses/ contact lens-free vision.

LASIK or “laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis” is the most commonly performed laser eye surgery to treat refractive errors of the eye.

Technique

The LASIK procedure reshapes the cornea to enable light entering the eye to be properly focussed onto the retina for a clearer vision.

Want to avoid flap complications: You can opt for SMART SURFACE DIRECT LASER which is a “NO TOUCH, NO FLAP, NO CUT” technique

In most cases, laser eye surgery is pain-free and completed within 15 minutes for both eyes. The results — improved vision without eyeglasses or contact lenses– can usually be seen in as little as 24 hours.

What is Lasik?

LASIK stands for LASER Assisted In Situ Keratomileusis. LASIK Laser vision correction is performed using the excimer laser, a computer-controlled “cool” ultraviolet beam of light. The laser painlessly sculpts the cornea into a shape that allows light to focus more directly on the retina, which eliminates or reduces a variety of eye abnormalities.
